I began my self-directed study by taking journeys across the British landscapes. On these trips I took a sketch book to illustrate a story of events that happened through out the time, recording conversations, sights, smells and sounds. This was a useful technique to explore my illustrative style and to develop my skills in story telling. It also allowed me time to explore British Culture to gain a greater understanding of what is Britishness.
